Blogging from the CLI

Just deployed this Deadlight instance from Termux on my phone. Mobile.deadlight.boo all configuartion and deployment in Android.

No containers, no browser, no GUI. Just a keyboard, a shell, and a few Cloudflare commands. Admin dashboard works. Posts render. Analytics flow. It’s live here at mobile.deadlight.boo.

Why I tried this

Deadlight’s designed for low-connectivity publishing: mesh networks, satellite uplinks, text-only clients. I wanted to see if it could hold up on a mobile shell with no local emulator, no dev server, and minimal compute.

It did.

What’s next

• Testing post-by-email
• Proxy dashboard UX
• Federation between instances
• Maybe a comment system (alpha)

For now, just glad it’s running. If you’re curious about edge-native publishing or want to try deploying from a phone, happy to share what worked.
